You can delete your Cyprus Jobs account at any time, from the Cyprus Jobs app or from this website. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
Delete your account from the app
- Open the Cyprus Jobs app.
- Go to Account.
- Choose Delete my account.
- Enter your password to confirm.
Your account and the data listed below are removed immediately.
Delete your account by email
If you no longer have the app installed, email [email protected] from the email address registered to your account, with the subject Delete my account. We will confirm and delete it within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account, name, email address, phone number and password
- Every job application you have sent, including the CV attached to it and any message you wrote
- Any CV you uploaded for a CV check, and the reports produced from it
- Your saved jobs, bookmarks and the employers you follow
- For employers: your company profile, logo, and the vacancies you posted
Deleting only some of your data, without closing your account
You do not have to close your account to remove individual items:
- A CV you uploaded. In the app, open Account → My CV and choose Delete. The CV and every report produced from it are removed.
- Your CV’s visibility to employers. On the same screen, switch Visible to employers back to Private. Employers can no longer see it.
- Saved jobs and followed employers. Remove them from Saved and from the employer’s page in the app.
For anything else, email [email protected] from your registered address, telling us exactly what you want removed. We will action it within 30 days and confirm by reply. Your account stays open.
What is kept, and for how long
- Anonymous search statistics. We record which job titles and towns people search for, and how many results were returned. These records contain no name, account, email address or device identifier and cannot be traced back to you, so they are not deleted.
- Security and email logs. Records that a message was sent or that a sign-in was refused are kept for up to 90 days for fraud prevention, then removed automatically.
- Records we are required by law to keep. Where Cyprus or EU law requires us to retain something, we keep only that, for only as long as the law requires.
A note for employers
Deleting an employer account also removes the vacancies posted under it. If you want your vacancies to stay online under a colleague’s account, contact us before you delete, and we will move them across for you.
