Junior DevOps Engineer

Our client is an award winning investment firm and commodities broker providing trading services and facilities to both retail and institutional clients. They are an authorized and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). They are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to add to their existing team.

The successful candidate should have a BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field and be fluent in English.

• Building tools that integrate in our private cloud infrastructure and improve the overall quality of our projects.
• Responsible for maintaining our hosted ecosystem’s uptime and reliability.
• Create meaningful systems metrics and dashboards that will be shared with other teams and the business.
• Diagnose technical problems such as delays, malfunctions and errors in order to determine the true cause of the problem and provide a (workable/reasonable/optimal) solution in a reasonable time-frame.
• Carries out any further duties assigned by their line manager.
• Contributes to a positive and dynamic working environment.

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.
• Fluency in English.
• Beginner Unix/Linux sys admin skills.
• Basic Familiarity with Docker and OS Virtualization.
• Basic Familiarity of configuration management automation tools such as Chef.
• Basic scripting and familiaity with one common language (Python, Bash, C++, ruby).
• Basic understanding of webservers (Nginx,Apache,Tomcat,lighttpd,IIS).
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
