About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our development team in Limassol. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications and backend services while working closely with product, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities

– Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using PHP.
– Work with frameworks such as Laravel and/or Symfony.
– Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
– Design, optimize, and maintain MySQL/PostgreSQL databases.
– Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
– Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to other developers.
– Identify and resolve performance, security, and production issues.
– Work with Docker, Git, CI/CD, and modern development tools.
– Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making.
– Write unit and integration tests using PHPUnit.
– Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, product managers, and DevOps.
– Participate in planning, estimation, and Agile/Scrum development processes.

Requirements

– 5+ years of professional PHP development experience.
– Strong knowledge of PHP 8+ and OOP.
– Strong experience with Laravel and/or Symfony.
– Excellent knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL.
– Experience developing REST APIs.
– Good understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns.
– Experience with Git and Docker.
– Experience with automated testing and PHPUnit.
– Understanding of application security and performance optimization.
– Good problem-solving and communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a development team.
– Good spoken and written English.

Nice to Have

– Experience with Redis.
– Experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka.
– Experience with microservices architecture.
– Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
– Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
– Fintech, payments, or high-volume transaction experience.
