Shift Supervisor

Job Description

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
ZEME is seeking an experienced, hands-on Shift Supervisor to oversee safe and efficient production
during assigned shifts. The role includes supervising personnel, coordinating furnace, casting and
material-handling operations, monitoring performance and quality, and coordinating personnel
transportation and Company-arranged accommodation.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supervise shift operations, allocate duties and ensure production schedules and management
  instructions are followed.
  • Coordinate furnace charging, melting, alloying, casting, material handling and finished-product
  operations.
  • Work with the Metallurgist, Maintenance team and production personnel to achieve production and
  quality targets and resolve operational issues.
  • Monitor output, downtime, equipment performance and material usage, and maintain shift and
  production records.
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, working hours and staffing levels, and ensure effective shift
  handovers.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, onboarding and practical training to production
  personnel.
  • Enforce Company SOPs, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, including PPE
  requirements and incident reporting.
  • Maintain safe housekeeping standards and coordinate routine inspections, cleaning, preventive
  maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
  • Support continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate personnel transport to and from the Plant, including shift schedules, drivers and
  transport providers.
  • Coordinate Company-arranged personnel accommodation, including room allocation,
  arrivals/departures and day-to-day maintenance or welfare matters.

Candidate Profile

• …CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  Essential
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in a production supervisory, shift supervisory or industrial
  operations role.
  • Experience supervising personnel in a manufacturing, recycling, foundry, engineering or similar
  industrial environment.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, with a good understanding of industrial operations and
  workplace Health & Safety.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends and overtime where required.
  • Good working knowledge of English, basic computer skills and a valid driving licence.
  Desirable
  • Experience in aluminium production, aluminium recycling, foundry or metal-processing operations.
  • Technical qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Operations or a related field.
  • Experience supervising furnace, casting or other heavy industrial operations.
  • Experience coordinating employee transport, accommodation or multinational production teams.
  • Greek language skills would be an advantage.
