Experienced Accountant – SLK Development

Job Description

SLK Development is seeking an Experienced Accountant to join our growing team in Larnaca.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with applicable accounting and tax requirements.

We are looking for a highly organised, reliable and detail-oriented professional who can work independently while collaborating effectively with management and other departments.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, receipts and bank transactions.
• Perform bank, supplier and customer account reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Assist with VAT returns and other tax-related obligations.
• Prepare monthly and periodic financial reports for management.
• Monitor company expenses, cash flow and outstanding balances.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, tax advisers and other professional partners when required.
• Assist with annual audits and preparation of supporting documentation.
• Ensure accounting procedures comply with applicable Cyprus legislation and company policies.
• Maintain organised financial records for the company and its development projects.
• Provide financial information and analysis to management when required.
• Handle accounting matters with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another relevant field.
• Proven professional experience in an accounting or finance position.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Good understanding of Cyprus VAT and taxation procedures.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Previous experience within real estate, property development or construction will be considered a strong advantage.
• ACCA/ACA qualification or progress toward a professional accounting qualification will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
• Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
