Accountant

Our client, a company providing services mainly to the Financial markets industry is looking for an Accountant. Their financial teams have grown and developed into a team of strong, talented individuals and they’re currently looking to add another strong professional that will add more value to their team.

The successful candidate should have at least 2 years of demonstrated work experience in an Accounting/Bookkeeping role.

• Preparation of daily Cash Flows
• Daily bookkeeping and recording of transactions in the accounting system
• Reconciliations of bank accounts and clearing companies
• Basic knowledge of annual financial statements
• Calculation and preparation of payment files (calculating, issuing invoices and entering payments to the system)
• Payroll preparation (calculation of payroll, tax and SI)
• VAT calculation and form submission

• University degree holder in Accounting and Finance or in another relevant field
• Non-qualified or partly qualified ACA or ACCA
• At least 2 years of demonstrated work experience in an Accounting/Bookkeeping role
• Excellent command of English language both verbal and written
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (formulas, spreadsheet formulation)
• Experience in a high-volume transaction environment
• Ability to work under pressure
