Job Overview

GRS in collaboration with a Financial Services company based in Limassol, are seeking to recruit a Head of Payments. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in a Payments Manager role within the Financial Services or Payments Solutions. You will be interacting with PSP’s and developing long-lasting relationships and negotiate terms and conditions. This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills and a dynamic character.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct research to identify new Banks and PSPs
  • Recommend new banks and PSPs to the Management according to business needs and provide guidance to the Management regarding related issues
  • Interaction with PSP’s and ability to develop long-lasting relationships and negotiate terms and conditions
  • Dealing with the onboarding of banks and PSPs and integration
  • Monitoring bank and PSP fees are correctly charged according to the agreement
  • Suggestions and implementation of how we can decrease banks and PSP fees
  • Comparison of fees between banks and PSPs, and optimisation of fee structure
  • Suggestions and implementation how we can decrease declines from PSPs and how to increase Approval rates
  • Corresponding with banks and all PSPs on issues
  • Reconcile payments received against statements from PSP and ensure that the correct amounts are recorded in the company’s official records
  • Monitoring accuracy of fees deduction and rolling reserve from the PSP
  • Keeping track of market trends, looking for cost – reduction opportunities, checking – approving contracts / commercial parts / developing relationships with external contacts all over the world
  • Report to the CEO and CFO

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or any other relevant field
  • 5 years of industry experience in a Payments role, ideally having previously worked at a Financial Institution
  • Fluency in English is a must
  • Specific knowledge of the card payments industry will be considered as an advantage
  • Highly motivated with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Communicate clearly and concisely to the Chief Financial Officer
  • Able to work on own initiative with excellent attention to detail
