Technical Director – Construction – Limassol – ZA919596

An international construction company are currently in the process of opening operations in Cyprus with the hire of a Technical Director. The company constructs large scale projects both commercial and residential, and now looking to expand within the Cyprus market. The role will be based in Limassol with projects planned across the island. The successful candidate must hold the Class A Contractors License.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead on all construction aspects, providing strategic and professional guidance
• Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycles on complex engineering projects
• Advice contract managers, project managers and any other managers and colleagues as and when required
• Liaise with stakeholders, project teams, and sub-contractors to deliver high-quality projects, technically efficient and cost-effective solutions
• Manage the timeline of the projects making sure deadlines are met
• Outline clear targets and responsibilities for all supervised staff
• Ensure health and safety regulations and procedures are carried out in a precise manner
• Monitor and review budgets and costs making sure these are within the forecasted values
• Help lead and grow the operations of the company and develop long term positive client relationships
• Monitor the Tender Department and review the technical and financial offers
• Business Development and investigate the Cypriot’s Market for the new up-coming projects

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Previous experience managing large scale projects both commercial and residential
• Must be a member of the Contractor’s Register
• Must hold the Class A licence issued by the Council for the Registration and Control of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors
• Strong experience and qualifications within Civil Engineering
• Strong management skills
• High level technical skills within construction
• Expert knowledge of industry standards and resources
• Experience in leading and mentoring multiple project teams
• Detail oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication
