Job Description

GRS are representing a growing global payment technology company who are currently recruiting for the position of Bookkeeper in Nicosia. Listed on the London Stock Exchange, our client has been a leader in the payments industry for more than a decade, providing technology-based innovative payment solutions to a broad range of blue-chip clients. Due to our client’s expansion, GRS are seeking an organized and responsible team player who will have an important role in the finance department and be granted access to the fascinating world of payments.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Multi-currency accounting entries and adjustments
• Support monthly processes
• Month-end closing procedures
• Income and expenditure reconciliations
• Balance sheet Accounts reconciliations
• Accounts payable, management of supplier accounts and invoice queries
• Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns
• Respond to requests for information from various stakeholders including auditors, tax consultants and other internal managers. Ensure that this is provided in a timely manner

Candidate Profile

• University graduate in Accounting and Finance
• At least 3 years bookkeeping and VAT experience
• Fluency in English language at a professional level
• LCCI Higher qualification and/or Professional Qualification (ACCA Student/Trainee, CAT or AAT Holder) – An advantage
• Excellent use of MS Office & Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented and complex organization
