Our Client, an established and regulated payment institution in Nicosia, is currently recruiting an Accountant to join their Finance team. The successful candidate must be fluent in Greek and English with a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position. Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Input and manage accounting and financial data to appropriate accounts in automated systems
• Reconcile the profit and position between the banking and the accounting system on a daily basis
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monthly management reports in an accurate and timely manner
• Liaise with banks and external auditor
• Process payments and documents such as invoices, journal vouchers, employee reimbursements and statements
• Keep records of VAT and prepare quarterly VAT report
• Communicate with other teams to facilitate the accounting process
• Preparation of required monthly, quarterly, and half – year reporting to the relevant authorities
• File and archive documents connected to the accounting function

Candidate Profile

• University graduate in Accounting or holder of a Diploma in Accounting
• A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position
• Fluency in Greek and English at a professional level
• Experience with Sage will be considered an advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
